PWS Family Support

EmpowerED Solutions partners with the University of Florida's Pediatric Endocrinology Department and Delta Behavior Services to provide behavioral and educational services for families of children with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). The Foundation for PWS Families was founded in May of 2022 and has grown both in the number of families the program can support and in the types of services it provides.

Dr. Pacha provides an overview of the educational implications of PWS and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). She will also discuss appropriate accommodations, specialized and related services, and learning strategies to meet your loved one’s unique educational needs.

Empowered Services

EmpowerED Solutions’ consultation services are designed to provide your family with the ultimate support before, during, and after an Education Planning Meeting. You will have access to your education specialist throughout the school year for any questions or concerns that may arise.

  • Direct Correspondence with the School/District on Your Behalf
  • Written Review of Current or Draft Education Plan with Recommendations
  • Review of Academic Assessments, Evaluations, and/or Behavior Data
  • Meeting Preparation Consultation (Virtually or via Phone)
  • Participation in Education Planning Meetings (IEP, 504, EP, MTSS)- Virtual Attendance 
  • Post Meeting Consultation and Future Planning

  • Continuation of Previous IEP/EP/504 Team Meeting 
  • Academic and/or Behavior Review/Update

  • Manifestation Determination Meeting (Disciplinary Meeting)
